Where is Guava From?

Guava fruits originated from Central and South America. In Kenya, Africa, guavas weren’t grown commercially until recently.  Kenya’s major guava growing areas include Elgeyo-Marakwet, Kakamega, Uasin-Gishu, Kwale, Kilifi, Meru, Homabay, Siaya, Vihiga, Mombasa, Kitui, and Taita Taveta among others.

Pears Farming in Kenya 

Pear farming started in China around 2000 BC and spread to other parts of the world. Pears found their way into Kenya in the 1920s through Christian missionaries from the United Kingdom.
