Processing and Harvesting Avocados

Once you request a quote, our customer service team will reply within 24 – 48 hours. Our team will engage you on more specifications of your quote. If you don’t understand more about avocados, our team will offer options on what is available in the market. We have a team of quality analysis team who understand avocado fruit exportation and are very resourceful in guiding our clients.

Once the order specifications are precise, our team will send you a quote for the quantity of avocados you need. The quotation will also stipulate the initial deposit you need to make. We’ll guide you through the deposit process and let you know when your order is processed.

Once you make the initial deposit and the order is processed, our field team will harvest the avocados. Harvesting avocados typically takes 2 to 3 days as we may need to source the fruits from several farms. Our field team includes several quality assurance teams that ensure they only harvest mature avocados. As a result, this saves you time of otherwise sorting them at a future stage.

Transportation to Our Warehouse

Some of our farms are away from our warehouse, so we need to transport the avocados to our warehouse for processing and packaging. Our transport team arrives at the farm with wooden or plastic crates. We use specially designed crates with an extra cushioning layer to ensure the avocados do not bruise. Each crate holds about 20 – 40 avocado fruits, although some may hold a few, especially if it’s the Fuerte variety.

Avocados are transported from the field to our warehouse on the same day. We transport the avocados in mini trucks and pickups. Once we have the fruits at our warehouse, the next phase of processing starts. We ensure you are updated with every step we take when processing your order.

Processing and Quality Assurance

Our team works throughout the clock to ensure that your order is delivered fast and within the timeframes that you’ve stipulated. Once the fruits are in the warehouse, we start sorting the avocados. First, our quality analysis team sorts the fruit and removes fruits that show physical damage, bruises, or malformation. The process is short, as most of the sorting is done during harvesting.

Once they are done sorting, the avocados proceed to the washing stage, where any debris attached is removed. The fruits are also disinfected from any infections they could have garnered during harvesting and transporting. Our fruits are also quality-checked before proceeding to the packaging stage.

It is important to note that a sample fruit is taken to the lab for evaluation on maturity and according to international standards. This test is done in two ways: by an internal agent and by the government. The government participates in the lab test to ensure all the products shipped meet international standards.

Packaging, Shipping and Delivery

Once the fruits are checked on quality analysis, we proceed to packaging. We package the avocados by hand into trays or boxes. In our commitment to using eco-friendly materials, all the materials we use are either cartoon or wood. Each package of the cartoon weighs about 4kg and can hold up to 20 avocados.

Once the avocados are packaged, our transport team delivers them to the airport for delivery. The shipping and delivery of avocados take 2 to 3 days to your location, whether in Europe or Asia. We have previously shipped and delivered avocados in countries including the Netherlands, China, India, and Saudi Arabia.

We expect a receipt from you once the avocados are delivered. We guarantee customer satisfaction on all orders and, therefore, value your feedback upon receipt of the order.
